Simplicity of Character is a Natural Result of Profound Thought

With a compilation of Life Experience that ranges from Prince Edward Island Canada, Eastern Plains of Colorado, Mountain regions of Denver to the Desert hills of Palm Springs and surrounding cities I began to understand the wide variety of how people desire culture in many facets.

After leaving Canada for the plains of Colorado, I was asked in High School what I would want to be when I graduated.

My response was become a Butler & Interior Designer.

My career in hospitality started in the century old 5 Star hotel in Denver, The Brown Palace. I started as a dining room attendant & finished as a Sommelier in the Private Club. A Maître d’ by the name of Jürgen Schuler was my mentor the entire time. He taught me that people with money are no different in qualities from anyone else; however they did demand respect & loyalty. He taught that when the guests needed for anything you must know it before they even asked, or at the very least you had to be able to produce the item in an efficient manner.

This rule has easily been translated over to my Interior Design business.

In Palm Springs I had the privilege of privately butlering for Suzanne Sommers. In addition to private clients. I have also worked as a Butler in a Hotel setting in private villas at the Hyatt Grand Champion Indian Wells.

After working for many years in the Hospitality industry in as many facets as possible, in 1995 I had a major life change that allowed for a next stage switch in my life.

That is…to Interior Design.

In 2004 I graduated from the Ringling College of Art and Design with a Trustee Scholar from the Interior Design Department.

Ringling is where I was 1st introduced to the ASID [American Society of Interior Designers] recognized in both the USA and Canada, where I immediately saw the value of networking with an organization on a National level.

I am proud Allied Member of the ASID.

I have served on the Florida West Coast Chapter Board 2 times as Membership Chair.

Since starting out on my own I have had very fortunate success with clients that have homes thru-out Florida and Canada, in addition to other states.

It gives me great joy to know I helped guide someone toward accomplishing their dream, a space they couldn’t create without my input.

Many of the vendors I have worked with over the years are ASID IP [Industry Partners} and have not only supported me when I was a Student Member but continued to offer fantastic cutting edge Programs and Product to our Industry and clients.

It is for that reason I always go to them 1st when it is an option.

Loyalty in times like this is essential.
